1. Single Purpose

The single purpose of the SecurePresent (Employee Privacy Shield) extension is to protect sensitive information during screen sharing. It works by scanning the text on web pages you visit and visually blurring specific patterns (such as emails, phone numbers, and financial data) locally in your browser.

2. Data We Collect

We believe in data minimization. We only collect the absolute minimum required to verify your software license.

  • Email Address (Identity)We collect your email address purely to verify your "Pro" license status. This checks if you have an active subscription via Stripe.
  • License StatusWe store a simple "Active" or "Inactive" status locally on your device to unlock Pro features.

3. What We DO NOT Collect

To be absolutely clear, we have Zero Visibility into the content you mask.

We do NOT see your screen.
We do NOT collect browsing history.
We do NOT store page content.
We do NOT sell data to third parties.

4. Why We Need Permissions

Read and change all your data on websites you visit

This sounds scary, but it is technically required for the extension to work. We need access to the page's "DOM" (Document Object Model) to find sensitive text (like $120,000) and apply a blur effect to it. This processing happens 100% locally on your computer.

Identity / Email

Used strictly to verify your Pro license subscription.

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party services for payments and authentication.

  • Stripe: Processes payments securely. We never see or store your credit card information.
  • Supabase: Manages our secure database for checking license validity.
