Your First Masking Rule

SecurePresent comes with "Standard Protections" (Emails, Phones, Credit Cards) enabled by default. However, every company has unique data they need to hide.

Method 1: The Context Menu (Easiest)

The fastest way to hide a specific element is to simply right-click it.

  1. Navigate to the website you want to protect (e.g., your CRM dashboard).
  2. Right-click on the specific element you want to hide (e.g., the "Total Pipeline Value" number).
  3. Select SecurePresent > Hide this element from the menu.
  4. The text will instantly blur. This rule is now saved locally and will re-apply every time you visit this page.

Method 2: The Dashboard

For more control, you can create rules manually:

  1. Click the extension icon to open the popup.
  2. Click the Settings (Gear) icon.
  3. Navigate to the "Rules" tab.
  4. Click "+ New Rule".

Pro Tip: Specificity Matters

When right-clicking, try to click exactly on the text you want to hide. If you click a large container, you might accidentally hide the entire sidebar! You can always delete the rule in Settings if you make a mistake.
